The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an urgent public advisory on 07 April 2026 for candidates registered for the Common University Entrance Test [CUET (UG)-2026]. The CUET (UG)-2026 exams are scheduled to take place between 11 May and 31 May 2026. This notification follows the online application registration process which was conducted from 03 January to 04 February 2026 and again from 23 to 26 February 2026.
According to the NTA, a discrepancy was identified for certain candidates who registered using identity proof documents other than an Aadhaar Card. In these cases, the live photographs captured during the application process do not match the photographs currently registered in the UIDAI database. To ensure a smooth process and secure identification, NTA is providing these affected candidates with a mandatory window to verify their identity through an attested physical certificate (Annexure-1).
Candidates must get their photograph and identity verified by their School/College Principal, Headmaster, or an authorized Class-I Gazetted Officer. Failing to upload this document online and produce a physical copy on the exam day may affect the candidate's eligibility to sit for the examination.
