The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the Press Release for JEE(Main) – 2026 [Session- II] detailing the critical regulations, modified schedules, and technical systems for the upcoming JEE Main Session 2 examination. This nationwide entrance test is scheduled to run between 2 April and 8 April 2026. To accommodate specific student queries, the NTA has revised test centers for candidates in the Middle East due to regional conflicts, shifted schedules for candidates celebrating Easter on 5 April 2026, and coordinated with CBSE to prevent exam date clashes with Class XII board exams.

To ensure complete transparency and security, the NTA has integrated a cutting-edge online portal designed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC). This secure framework implements AI-based face comparison, OTP-based Aadhaar e-KYC, live photo verification against Aadhaar/Digilocker, and automated fetching of PwD details via the UDID portal. Security measures at the test venues will be incredibly high, employing manual frisking (with separate enclosures for females), Aadhaar biometric authentication at registration desks, and continuous monitoring via CCTV with AI-based video analytics and signal jammers.

• Release of Admit Cards: Candidates writing exams on 02 and 04 April 2026 could download their cards starting 29 March 2026. The rest of the candidate base can download their admit cards starting 01 April 2026.
• Center and Date Adjustments:
  • Middle East Candidates: Exam centers updated in response to candidate representations and regional conflicts.
  • Easter Rescheduling: Candidates scheduled for 5 April 2026 who requested rescheduling have been accommodated.
  • Board Exam Coordination: Dates planned closely with CBSE data using candidates' roll numbers to completely avoid schedule overlap.
• Marking Scheme for Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics:
  • Section A (20 MCQs): +4 for a correct answer, -1 for an incorrect answer, and 0 for unanswered/marked for review questions.
  • Section B (5 Numerical Questions): All questions are compulsory. Answers must be rounded off to the nearest integer. Correct answers carry +4 marks, wrong answers deduct -1 mark, and unanswered queries receive 0 marks.
• B.Arch Aptitude & Drawing Specifications:
  • Aptitude Test (200 Marks / 50 Questions): Standard MCQs with a +4/-1 marking system.
  • Drawing Test (100 Marks / 2 Questions): Must be completed on the provided physical drawing sheet. Candidates must bring their own geometry box, pencils, crayons, and color pencils. Watercolors, poster, or acrylic colors are strictly prohibited.
• B.Planning (100 Marks / 25 Questions): Standard MCQs with +4/-1 marks. Specific questions testing English comprehension will only be available in English.

1. Download the Admit Card: Navigate to the official website https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/ to download a clear, color printout of your Admit Card on A4 paper.
2. Verify Your Details and Center Location: Double-check your allotted exam date, shift timings, and venue address. It is strongly advised to visit your test venue a day prior to the exam to plan your commute.
3. Unlock Aadhaar Biometrics: Ensure your Aadhaar biometric status is unlocked on the day of the exam to prevent any failures during registration-desk scanning.
4. Prepare the Mandatory Carry-In Items: Gather your original valid Photo ID (photocopies or digital IDs are not allowed), a minimum of two passport-size photographs matching the one on your application, and a PwD certificate (if applicable).
5. Review Dress Code and Item Rules: Ensure you do not carry bags, metallic objects, electronic watches, calculators, or communication devices. Diabetic students may pack transparent bottles, sugar tablets, or loose fruits (bananas/apples/oranges) but no packaged foods.
6. Arrive Early for Frisking: Reach the center well before the gate closing time. Non-Aadhaar registered candidates must report at least 1 hour early to undergo manual biometric registration.
