Display of Provisional Answer Keys and Recorded Response Sheet for Answer Key Challenge of Joint Entrance Examination (Main) – 2026 Session 2 (April 2026) – Reg.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released a public notice on 11 April 2026 regarding the display of Provisional Answer Keys and Recorded Response Sheets for the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) – 2026 Session 2 (April 2026). This facilitates the window for candidates to raise objections or challenges against the provisional answer keys of Paper 1 (B.E./B. Tech.).

The JEE (Main) – 2026 Session 2 was successfully conducted on 02, 04, 05, 06, and 08 April 2026 for Paper 1 (B.E./B. Tech.) and on 07 April 2026 for Paper 2A (B. Arch.) and Paper 2B (B. Planning). The examination spanned 567 Centres located in 306 Cities across India and 14 Cities outside India. Candidates can now access their question papers along with recorded responses on the official portal and submit challenges by paying a non-refundable processing fee of ₹ 200/- per question challenged.

All challenges submitted by candidates during the scheduled window will be thoroughly verified by a panel of subject experts. If a challenge is found to be correct, the Answer Key will be revised and applied uniformly to the responses of all candidates. The final results will be prepared and declared based on these final, verified answer keys. No individual candidate will receive a separate communication regarding the acceptance or rejection of their challenge, and the keys finalized by the Experts will be absolute and final.

1. Visit the Portal: Go to the official JEE Main website at https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/.
2. Initiate Challenge: Click on the link option titled 'Challenge (s) regarding Answer Key'.
3. Candidate Login: Securely login using your Application Number and Password, enter the Captcha Code as shown on the screen, and click Submit.
4. Access Answer Key: Click on 'Challenge (s) regarding Answer Key' on your candidate dashboard.
5. Review Questions: You will see Question IDs listed sequentially for Paper 1 (B.E./B. Tech) distributed as 25+25+25 Questions across Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
6. Identify Official Key: The ID listed next to the question number under the column 'Correct Option' represents the correct answer verified by NTA.
7. Select Challenges: To challenge an option, tick the check box(es) next to any one or more of the Option IDs given in the subsequent four columns.
8. Upload Supporting Documents: Click 'Choose File and Upload' to upload supporting documents for your challenge. Note: All supporting documents must be compiled and uploaded as a single PDF file.
9. Save Your Claims: After checking your desired option(s) for Mathematics / Physics / Chemistry, scroll down and click 'Save your claim' to move to the next screen.
10. Verify Display: You will view a display showing all the Option IDs you have challenged.
11. Proceed to Payment: Click on 'Save your claim and Pay Fee finally'.
12. Complete Transaction: Choose your payment method and pay the non-refundable processing fee of ₹ 200/- for each question challenged via Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.
