The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released a public notice addressing the Correction in Particulars for the Joint Entrance Examination (Main)-2026 Session 2 – Reg. Following numerous representations from candidates requesting the chance to edit or modify their details, the NTA has activated the correction link for a short window. This facility is designed to help students rectify any errors before their final exam admit cards and results are processed.

This correction facility is a crucial opportunity for both fresh candidates who registered exclusively for Session 2, and existing candidates who registered in Session 1 (between 31 October and 27 November 2025) and registered again for Session 2. Candidates must act fast, as this is a one-time-only facility, and the window closes sharply on 28 February 2026 at 11:50 P.M.

• Correction Period: 27 February to 28 February 2026 (up to 11:50 P.M.).
• For Existing Candidates (Registered in Session 1 & 2):
  • Allowed to edit: Course (Paper), Medium of Question Paper, State Code of Eligibility, Examination Cities (subject to availability), Educational qualification details (Class 10th & Class 12th), Gender, Category, Fee Payment (if applicable), and Identity Details (only for those registered with an identity other than Aadhaar).
• For New Candidates (Applied for Session 2 Only):
  • NOT Allowed to change: Mobile Number, E-Mail Address, Permanent & Present Address, Emergency Contact details, and Live/Uploaded Photograph.
  • Allowed to change (Only ONE field): Candidate Name OR Father's Name OR Mother's Name.
  • Allowed to change/add (ALL fields): Educational qualifications (Class 10th and 12th), State Code of Eligibility, Date of Birth, Gender, Category, Sub-category / PwD (if not verified by UDID Portal), Signature, and Paper.
  • Allowed to change based on Address: Examination City Selection and Medium of Examination.
  • Allowed to change Identity details: Aadhaar details (only for candidates registered with identity other than Aadhaar).
• Fee Implications: If the corrected fields change the applicable fee amount, candidates must pay the additional balance. Excess fees paid, if any, will not be refunded. Changes are finalized only after the extra payment is processed successfully.

To successfully correct your form, here is how to apply for Correction in Particulars for the Joint Entrance Examination (Main)-2026 Session 2 – Reg.:

1. Visit the official registration portal at https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/.
2. Click on the active link dedicated to the "JEE (Main) 2026 Session 2 Application Correction".
3. Log in using your registered credentials, including your Application Number, Password, and Security Pin.
4. Access your application form and edit the eligible fields. Refer to the official Annexure 1 guidelines to check which fields are editable for your candidate category.
5. Verify the edited information very carefully. Since this is a one-time facility, once submitted, your form will be frozen and cannot be changed again.
6. Pay any additional fee if applicable via Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.
7. Submit your corrections and print/save a copy of your updated Confirmation Page for future reference.
