The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an important public advisory titled "Advisory for candidates, regarding availing the facility of Compensatory Time during NEET (UG) 2026 Examination, scheduled on 21 June 2026". This notification addresses the queries raised by aspirants on social media regarding the entry "Y" displayed against the "Eligibility for Compensatory Time" column for both non-PwBD and PwBD candidates.
To prevent any confusion on exam day, NTA has clarified that eligibility for a scribe or extra compensatory time is clearly dictated by the status on the official Admit Cards. Only candidates whose Admit Card prints the precise phrase **"Eligibility for Compensatory Time : *Yes" will be allowed compensatory time. Any other marker, including a single letter "Y", does not grant this facility to the candidate.
